The situation

What has happened

Merriwa Holdings is a long standing advisory retainer client with a quarterly review on 14 October. The client contact has asked Meridian to scope a marketing plan for a new depot at the same time. The Advisory Practice Lead wants a review pack prepared from the client record and last quarter's actions, an engagement letter variation drafted for the depot marketing plan, and the onboarding steps in the Client Onboarding Procedure completed so the new project exists in the systems before the meeting. Meridian's service standards require every interaction to be recorded and every action to have an owner and a date. The marketing team will deliver the plan, so the analyst must coordinate across departments.

Your brief. Prepare an accurate, well written quarterly review pack, draft the engagement variation, complete the onboarding steps for the new project including conflict and risk checks, and record all interactions and actions in the client and project systems.

What to look for

Evidence guide

The review pack must be accurate against the supplied data, structured and written for a business owner without jargon. The variation must match the scope and fee and name the correct delegation. Conflict and risk checks must be documented, not assumed. System records must be complete with owners and dates. The critical thinking task must show an assumption, evidence and a genuine alternative.

The student's evidence summary lists every record they created or changed in the systems named above, their notes and the tasks they ticked. Verify it against the deliverables and your own assessment tool.
